Organizations are experiencing rapid expansion in the usage of their collaboration tools and in some instances conducting meetings that are much larger than normal. Team members that normally use products at the office, are now working remotely and need a better understanding of the features of WebEx such as self-view, environmental audio/video mute, basic lighting, among others, to deliver a successful experience. Iron Bow in Action
Enabling Worldwide Collaboration
A federal agency with CONUS and OCONUS staff needed an enterprise-wide video teleconferencing solution. Iron Bow provided video teleconferencing (VTC) equipment and related conference room equipment. As part of this project, Iron Bow A/V experts worked with the client to determine the optimal licensing numbers for VTC equipment and software to ensure they were getting what they currently required while also having the ability to scale up as needed. The team also provided user trainings, both live and recorded, to assist in the accelerated need to transition the agency to a fully remote workforce in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Iron Bow XR team quickly adapted to the accelerated rollout plan, creating customized seminars for the various user personas, training power users as well as brand new WebEx end users. Within in a two-week timeframe, over 3,000 end users were trained and using WebEx from their safety of their home offices.
Securing the Network While Expanding Technology’s Reach
A federal medical agency needed to upgrade their local area network (LAN) distribution and access devices across 27 centers. The goal of the project was to provide a modern and robust infrastructure capable of supporting ever-growing data driven demands of the science and research community. Iron Bow’s XR team assisted in determining the right levels of licensing to support usage, performance and growth goals. The solution encompassed not only performance goals, but also security needs of the organization. Administrators were trained on how to best utilize dashboards for ongoing maintenance and security oversight including how to read usage reports for anomaly detection. The new LAN solution met all goals and demands of the customer and end-users, supporting modern applications and processes and creating a secured network for remote sites.
