Chantilly, VA – April 19, 2012
Iron Bow Technologies LLC, an information technology solutions provider, announced today that the United States Army has extended its Information Technology Enterprise Solution-2 Hardware (ITES-2H) contract. This Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract enables the Army to purchase the advanced IT services and products needed for the continued defense of the nation.
The extension of ITES-2H expands its contract period by an additional 18.5 months, to August of 2013. This extension bridges the gap between the original ITES-2H contract period and the expected 2013 award of ITES-3H. This will enable the Army to purchase servers, workstations, storage systems, networking equipment, video teleconferencing (VTC) equipment and a wide array of other solutions.
“Today’s military relies on best of breed IT hardware and services to keep the warfighter connected and decision makers informed, both at home and abroad,” said Rene LaVigne, President and CEO of Iron Bow. “As an ITES-2H contract holder, Iron Bow has provided in excess of $1.1 billion in technology solutions to the DoD from across our extensive portfolio of solutions. The extension of ITES-2H will ensure the technologies that power our military are available to the Army now and in the future.”
As an ITES-2H prime contractor and a small business as certified by the Small Business Association (SBA), Iron Bow is one of the few small businesses to offer a comprehensive portfolio of products from an unparalleled team of technology partners, along with resources such as skilled technical support, customer service and real-time program management.
