When it comes to government IT, 2014 was dominated by mobility, cloud computing and advanced data analytics. From embracing mobile workforces for enhanced efficiencies to leveraging a software-defined environment, this past year we saw some major shifts in how agencies deliver technologies to citizens and employees.

In addition, federal employees are now demanding more consumer-like solutions that provide a completely flawless user experience. While the public sector is traditionally slower than the private sector, it is catching up when it comes to embracing new innovations.

These are some insights from a recent TechSource podcast interview with Ryan Sobel, Director of Enterprise Mobility Solutions at Iron Bow. Stay tuned for our next podcast with Ryan where he discusses the future of government IT in 2015.
