Earlier this year, Department of Defense CIO Terry Halvorsen called for agencies to standardize and migrate to Windows 10. Halvorsen was quoted saying, “the department must rapidly transition to Windows 10 to improve cyber security and streamline and lower the costs of its information-technology footprint.” He set a goal of completing the migrations by January 2017.
