Chris Smith is a seasoned financial leader with over two decades of experience in the government contracting and technology solutions sectors. As the Chief Financial Officer at Iron Bow, he brings a proven ability to drive growth, build high-performing teams, and foster a collaborative culture that aligns financial strategies with the company’s broader goals.

Before rejoining Iron Bow, Chris served as the CFO of ID Technologies, a private equity-backed company, where he led the organization through a period of significant transformation. His leadership helped guide the company through refinancing, recapitalization, and operational restructuring, and he played a pivotal role in the corporate M&A strategy; leading the carve-out of Applied Insight, acquisition of Attila Security, and the PE exit transaction to CACI International.

Chris is known for his hands-on leadership style and strategic vision, which combines financial acumen with a deep understanding of market trends. He thrives on empowering teams to innovate, solve complex challenges, and drive sustainable growth. Throughout his career, Chris has shown dedication in delivering value and results in fast-paced environments. As he leads Iron Bow into its next phase, his focus is on creating long-term value for customers and stakeholders while navigating the evolving landscape of technology finance.

Chris received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Virginia Tech and is an active member of several professional organizations.
