With over 20 years of government service, Polat Aydin joins Iron Bow from the Office of the Air Force CIO where he led Acquisition Strategy and Policy for Department of Defense’s multi-Billion dollar Enterprise License Agreements as well as leading Policy, Governance and Financial Accountability for all Commodity IT software and hardware.

As a primary advisor to DOD and Air Force CIOs, he spearheaded strategic transformation the way DOD acquire commodity IT with largest OEMs under Enterprise Agreements. Additionally, he designed and issued new strategy and policies for GOTS IT acquisition which enabled Air Force and DOD to meet IT Financial Accountability obligation to the Congress.

Over the course of his public service, Polat held diverse positions, working for the Headquarters Army and the Air Force where he successfully transformed and optimized business of IT in areas of process, governance, budgeting, acquisition and policy.

Polat is a United States Army Active Duty Veteran, served in various expeditionary deployments.

He holds Bachelor's Degree as well as Graduate degree in Master of Public Administration from University of South Florida.
