Matt Mella

Matt Mella is the Chief Information Security Officer at Iron Bow Technologies, where he leads the company’s enterprise cybersecurity strategy, overseeing risk management, incident response, compliance, and protection of information assets. With nearly 20 years of experience in cybersecurity, enterprise IT, and cloud transformation, Matt is known for aligning security initiatives with business objectives and fostering strong cross-functional collaboration to strengthen the organization’s security posture.

Since joining Iron Bow in 2018 as Director of IT, Matt has held key leadership roles including most recently Chief Architect, where he led Zero Trust adoption, multi-cloud modernization, and the company’s shift to SaaS and PaaS platforms.  He has been promoting the responsible and secure use of generative AI and business process automation. Prior to Iron Bow, he held senior technology roles at CACI and L-3 Communications, supporting secure enterprise infrastructure & cloud adoption.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University and has deep expertise in identity and access management, secure multi-cloud architecture, and regulatory frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST 800-171, and CMMC.
