Realizing IT Modernization Goals and Benefits
Iron Bow’s Unified Communications Manager Cloud (UCM) for Government, powered by Cisco, is a cloud-based unified communication and collaboration solution that allows for teams to collaborate securely from any location. Feature-rich, UCM provides VoIP, messaging, collaboration, meetings and more. This solution has been implemented in a number of civilian agencies including one instance that implementation was rolled out to 3,300 users and will scale to be the enterprise solution that supports 10,000-12,000 users. Cisco UCM is FedRAMP authorized.
Seamless Integration with Microsoft Teams
For agencies using Microsoft Teams, UCM integrates with the Teams platform to allow employees to work in the familiar Teams interface while benefitting from the UCM communication cloud. Iron Bow’s collaboration team can integrate UCM and Microsoft Teams to allow employees to streamline their application use, leveraging Microsoft Teams as the desktop content and messaging platform to launch a call using a Cisco calling infrastructure. Modernizing Networks for Better Citizen Service
A federal research and education organization was faced with aging network equipment that was no longer supported by manufacturers and posed a security and reliability risk to the organization. Iron Bow engineered and installed a complete refresh of the network infrastructure at three separate facilities. With a modern infrastructure in place, the organization can offer more robust programming for visitors as well as more stable environment for employees.
Guarding the Health of Our First Responders
Iron Bow solutions are a key part of the a federal enforcement agency’s telehealth program as well as an enabler of operational excellence for the workforce. The Iron Bow team developed and supports a telehealth solution for physician providers responsible for the health needs of active duty personnel. This includes the introduction of a cloud hosting platform for telehealth and secure video. 24x7x365 virtual care is now enabled to over 50,000 patients and over 200 providers in 150 locations including bases, air stations and vessels on the Atlantic, Pacific, Gulf of Mexico and the Great Lakes.
Enabling Secure Remote Collaboration
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a federal health agency needed a way to rapidly communicate and collaborate among its 27 centers all of which had people teleworking. Iron Bow helped the agency secure the licenses and infrastructure for a WebEx solution that could host town hall meetings of up to 20,000 remote participants. The feature-rich environment included interactive chat, polling, moderated Q&A and store and stream capabilities for video on demand from any mobile device.
A client’s legacy voice solution could no longer support their entire enterprise. As a result, there were multiple disparate voice systems that lacked the latest industry standards and features. Iron Bow implemented Cisco’s Unified Communication Manager (UCM) cloud solution to provide an enterprise-ready platform for the organization with a consistent experience for all users. The UCM implementation is integrated with Microsoft teams to enable seamless use of all agency collaboration solutions across the enterprise. The initial implementation was rolled out to 3,300 users scaling up to support 10,000-12,000 users. Iron Bow is also providing sustainment and managed services with tier 2 and 3 support from our U.S. based Customer Service Center.
Realizing Value in Technology Investments
A federal agency already had invested in WebEx as a meeting resource for employees but to date had experienced incredibly low adoption. The client reached out to the Iron Bow XR practice to assist the agency in developing and conducting a training plan to increase the use of WebEx and help the Department get more out of their investment. Over the course of two months, the Iron Bow team trained 1,500 people in a variety of settings and methods. This exposure resulted in an increased use of WebEx from 12 users to 4,000 users in just two months. The organization maintains 2,000+ active users to date and was recognized with an award for the effectiveness of the training.
